Jewelry Care and Cleaning

Welcome to Anderson Studio and Gallery where you will find handcrafted one-of-a-kind bracelets, earrings, and necklaces created by Shana Lane-Anderson. All of our jewelry is created with great care and attention to detail and design using sterling silver, gold-plating, and vermeil in combination with freshwater pearls, semi-precious gemstones, Swarovski crystals, and glass beads.

• Sterling silver does tarnish and will need to be cleaned with a polishing cloth periodically. Water with gentle soap may be used also, but remember to use a soft cloth to dry them off (no paper towels, tissue or toilet paper, which may scratch your jewelry).
• To help prevent tarnishing, store your sterling silver jewelry in an airtight container or zip lock bag. Keeping jewelry stored separately will prevent your jewelry pieces from scratching each other.
• Gemstones and pearls should be gently wiped using a clean damp cloth. Never use ultrasonic cleaners or chemicals.
• And remember, to help keep jewelry clean, put it on last when you are getting ready and take it off first at the end of the day. Always remove jewelry when appying lotion, perfume or hairspray.
